Adjective Or verb ?

i was bored.

or

i was bored by them.

i can`t understand that "bored" is adjective or it is verb in passive voice

There are basically two ways to look at these past participle verbs:

Interested - I am interested in buying an electrica car. If one chooses to look at "interested" as a passive verb, it is possbile because the reason is, the electric car made him to have this interest. But the other approach, which is what American English seems to favor treats these participles as adject

Is "sitting" there an adjective? and is "is" the verb?

'Sitting behind you' is a nonfinite clause acting as an adjective. 'Is' is the finite verb of the sentence.

I don't, but such verb-forming is common enough in conversation. If enough people use them long enough, they get entered in the dictionaries.
