Adjective clause

Is it correct to make the following sentence ?

ex. I find it hard to part with my old house, where are so many precious memories.

I first break down the adjective clause as "in which are so many precious memories", and following it I further replace "which" with "the old house"; finally I come to this sentence, "in the old house are so many precious memories", which somewhat raised my suspicion of associating which to an inverted sentence and therefore could be positioned in an adjective clause. Is this inference considered valid ? Thanks !
