Adjectives are used with nouns. Adverbs are used with verbs.

So you need to know the difference between nouns and verbs first. Are you sure of your ability to identify nouns and verbs?

It would be better to post questions that are more specific.
Why don't you post a few of the sentences from your quiz that you didn't understand.
.
For now, here is a very basic explanation of the difference:

1. An adjective describes a noun

2. An adverb describes a verb
An adverb can also modify an adjective or another adverb.

Adjective: He has an old car.

Adverb: He drives slowly.

Adverb + adjective: He has an extremely old car.

Adverb + adverb: He drives extremely slowly.

Hey sweet baby,

Let's start with examples of adjectives.. careful, polite, warm

We usually make adverbs by adding -ly to the adjectives. carefully, politely, warmly

Now study the examples:

Mark is a careful driver. (you are talking about Mike) ADJECTIVE+NOUN

Mark drives carefully. (you are talking about his driving) VERB+ADVERB

Amy is a polite lady. (you are talking about Amy)

Amy speaks politely. (you are talking about her way of speaking)

00Some of NATIVE SPEAKERS, yeah native speakers, cannot find a difference between adverbs and adjectives. The expresiones like "how do you feel? - good" or "it tastes good" (and really many more) I hear all the time. And I cannot understand how native speakers can keep saying this... 02br
00But for example "really" - adverb and "real" - adjective.02br
00You can't say "he looks real nice" it just does not even sound right, does it? the only right way is "really". In your language it probably goes the same way, because it does in most languages...
