Adjective

Today, I see a sentence: " There are a few rooms available for booking". I wonder about the word: "available". This word is an adjective but I don't understand why this word is placed at the position, after a noun, because I know that an adjective is often placed before a noun. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks so much.
