Sir,

Ram is taller than all the boys in the class.

I have to correct it.

1.Ram is taller than all the other boys in the class.
2.Ram is taller than any other boys in the class.

Whic one is correct?

I think the most natural is "Ram is taller than any other boy in the class."

Sir,We use comparative degree for only two things or two persons.

"all the other boys" means many boys except Ram.

How can we use comaparative degree if comaparison is being done with many thigns or people ;for example; if in a class there are

=Ram is taller than any other boy in the class.
=Ram is taller than all the other boys in the class.

You can use any one among them.
They all mean the same.
