Adjectival and adverbial usages of participial phrase/clause

Hi dear teachers!

Is the participial phrase/clause in the following sentence functioning as an adjective or is it functioning as an adverb, please?

-The guy fled the spot leaving her bleeding profusely.

Here, as you can see, we have two participial forms "leaving her" and "bleeding profusely". Could you please tell me whether they are functioning as adjectives or adverbs?

The guy fled the spot leaving her bleeding profusely.

The underlined element is gerund-participial clause in adjunct function.

Leave is a catenative verb: it has the embedded gerund-participial clause bleeding profusely as catenative complement. The intervening NP "her" is object of "leave"
