Adjacent rhyming words

Greetings.
A colleague of mine recently asked me if there was a term in English for two adjacent words which rhyme. I told him that if the two words occur in the same line of verse, then it's an internal rhyme. However, the two words which constitute an internal rhyme can occur anywhere on the line, and not necessarily next to each other. My colleague seems to think that there must be a more specific term for an internal rhyme where the words are adjacent. Anyone know of such a term?
Regards,
Tristan

Can't help you, though I seem to remember that your colleague is correct.
For what it's worth, here's what looks like a fairly extensive list of rhyme types, though I don't
