While addressing someone directly (as opposed to past narrative), is it okay to say this: Jill must have been ill, or she would have won. He must have helped, or you wouldn't be alright now. (or) Jill will change things in ways which you could never have imagined. (or must we stick with the simpler 'you can never imagine'?)
