Addressing an envelope

how do i address a letter to a Registered Pharmacist?

Phramacists do not usually have a doctorate.

So, unles you know that they do, say

eg

Dear Mr./Mrs./Ms Smith

(But don't put 'Dear' on the envelope!)

You're probably safer with Mr; I'd be perfectly OK with being addressed as Mr. instead of by title. On the other hand, it is a bit strange to be addressed as Dr. when you are not -- and even many who are find it too formal to be addressed as such. Perhaps it's different in the US, where people seem to take these formalities a bit more seriously.
