Addressing a senior team in business letter - 141011

Hello,

I need to write a mail to team who all are, say, at least 15 years older to me. I'm going to include all of them in the recipient list. How do I address them formally?

Thanks,

Age is not of prime importance; acquaintanceship is. Generally, if you know them well and they are colleagues, then first names are appropriate; if you are not well acquainted then 'Mr/Ms + surname' may be more appropriate. But practice varies from company to company and region to region.

Hello Micawber,

If I am addressing a couple of my bosses, then using Dear Mr. A and Mr. B would be fine I suppose. But I'm writing the mail to some 15 odd people. I'm now clueless how to start the mail, or wondering if I can skip that part. They address me with my name as I am way younger to them.

Thank you,

As I have already told you, in English age is not a major factor after you reach adulthood. Use 'Dear ABC team'.
