Address, fleet electrification, robust funnel

“To address fleet electrification with a robust funnel of OEM and tier-one opportunities, Chinmaya will add significant bench strength to our global automotive team,” said Patrick Wadden, Global Vice President of the automotive business unit.

Hi, can someone help me understand these paragraph better?

The first word 'address' is always hard to understand clearly. Can someone show me alternative word for it in this sentence?

The second word 'fleet electrification' is also new to me. Does this mean electrification of cars that belongs to a certain company? Like, a company sells all gasoline or diesel cars, then buy electric vehicles, instead?

Thirdly, in 'robust funnel', does funnel mean connection? If so, I don't know why the image of funnel is used here.

Thank you again, very much!!

He is not using standard English. He is using jargon of the automotive business unit. I could try to google his "robust funnel" and "tier-one opportunities", but neither you nor I would be better off for that exercise even if I found out what they mean.
