Oh, sorry. I think he already explained "They were addressed by her", which I understand now. What about "They were addressed to her"? This is the sentence I saw somewhere. Do I make myself understood? Sorry about that..

Addressed tdo her = Someone else has directed something - a letter, a package, or a question - to "her."

You shouldn't have opened those letters! They were addressed to her, not you!
