Additional Regards, Philips (Chairman)

Hi

Suppose at the end of a letter etc. it is written:

Regards
Mathew (CEO)
A&B Ltd.

Additional Regards
Philips (Chairman)
A&B Ltd.

I don't think the closing salutation "Additional Regards" is a correct one. What other word(s) can be used to replace "Additional" or the entire expression "Additional Regards"? Thank you for the help.

The use of titles (CEO, Chairman) here suggests you want to be formal. 'Regards' is not suitable for business letters unless they are extremely informal and written to people who are your pals. 'Yours sincerely' is standard for business letters.

  • Is 'Philips' the person's family name or personal name?
  • For formal letters, use both.

Thank you, Clive.

Please ignore the other issues and just assume, for the sake of this discussion, that a certain document needs to be signed by two persons. Then what would you do with "Additional Regards"? Thanks for the help.

Somewhere in the text, near the end, I'd say eg Tom sends his best wishes.
