Additional Notice

Hello:

In one of the e-mails from the Dartmouth Undergraduate Admissions Office, the first sentence reads:

"Recently, we have received additional notice that certain admissions consultants and agencies in China are falsely representing their relationship to the Dartmouth Undergraduate Admissions Office."

What does "additional notice" mean? Does "additional" mean repeatedly? Does notice mean someone informs them of something?
