Additional information in my application for university

When I had told my mother about applying for Fulbright University, her first reaction was disapproval. She thinks Fulbright is for rich kids and it is also too far from my hometown, so not only are traveling expenses expensive, but my mother also will miss me a lot. I explained to my mother that Fulbright has Financial Aid to help students and it is not like a scholarship, but she still does not accept. I think when we are young, we have enough energy and passion to explore ourselves and pursue. Now my family still do not agree with my decision and the deadline for Financial Aid Application is coming
