additional follow up

hi, i have a question regarding "additional follow up"

someone emailed me a following sentence

"I have spoken with Sue. I have some additional follow up on my end, but will come back to you as soon as I can."

I would like to know whether the sender means he will talk to Sue again or he may talk to someone else involved before contact me.

The second seems the most likely interpretation. It may also be that something Sue has said means that he has more information.

Hi,

Just a small comment.

The common expression is will get back to you , rather than will come back to you.
