Adding a subject before an infinitive

If we add in the word 'all' it feels like we need a comma. If we do, why?

Yeah, I'd call it an absolute phrase (subject plus modifier). Thanks for clearing this up--I was quite sure we needed the comma. Good to know I was bang on the money.
