"add up to" for results

Could you please take a look at my expressions and questions?

"add up to" specifically is used to express results in amounts and result or effect of some actions or events.

Is this phrasal verb use for specific situations? I already told that I guess it is specifically for results in numbers. However, I need to be sure and learn how to use it.

No, it needn't be used only with numbers. You are asking a lot of questions that could be more easily answered by googling the phrases and examining the sentences produced thereby. Please try that in future, and then post any of those sentences that concern you here.

Thanks, but I did this before I ask them. I checked them in Cambridge, AHD, and online like the freedictionary and EnglishForward.

I mean google 'add up to' and see what kind of sentences you can find on the internet at large, not just in dictionaries.
