"add on" vs "add to"

Can I say "Could you please add $200 (on) the card?" instead of saying "Could you please add $200 (to) the card?"?

Xerxes, thanks a million for your kind help! Would you mind if I ask you for the correct usage of "add to" as a verbal phrase? Is it ok to say, "I owe you; add it on your recollection"?
