Adapted to

Hello,

I'm wondering if my sentence sounds natural:

"The child quickly adapted to Year (Grade) 1 at school."

Should I have written "The child quickly adapted in Year 1 at school" instead?

Thank You

" It's fine. You could also just say "adapted to first grade". (AmE) Hotmale The child quickly adapted in Year 1 at school.

  • " It's fine.
  • You could also just say "adapted to first grade".
  • (AmE) Hotmale The child quickly adapted in Year 1 at school.
  • It's OK, but in my opinion it's not as good as your first sentence.

I think the first is better, although it doesn't seem like a big deal. But "adapt to" or "adapted from" are the verb forms for "adapt".
