Acumen and Acuity

What is the difference between acumen and acuity. I have searched on net, but definitions are very similar, so I can't make out the difference.

Acumen is typically used in relation to accumulated mental ability, while acuity is mostly used in connection with visual or auditory sharpness. Acuity can be used for mental processes, but acumen cannot be used for visual or auditory sharpness. For example: His acumen in financial matters was unsurpassed.
