In the context: Someone is working and focussing on the different tasks except his actual roles and responsibilities.

Can he tell him below?

You are away from your actual roles and responsibilities.

You are abstaining from your actual roles and responsibilities.


Please suggest these sentences. Especially, "abstaining from and away from" . If you have any suitable phrase, please let me know instead of them.
