Active/passive

Active- I ate lunch.
Passive- Lunch is eaten.
According to me the above is correct conversion of active into passive but I saw a video in which it was taught as "lunch was eaten". Which is more correct? The source is-

Yes, it is taught wrong in the video I think and the sad part is that the incorrect video has been watched by around .18 million people.

Ate is a past tense.
I have already mentioned the voices of sentences in front of them,

Oh I just observed it now . Sorry I wanted to write
"eat" but mistakenly wrote "ate" in active voice
