Active

Clifjam Sir,

If according to you, the sentence " I am bored" is a active sentence then

why the verb "bored" has used with "to be verb 'am' ". I am bit confused using past participle
of verb with am ,is, which are helping verb of present tense.

Thanks.

It is 'active' as opposed to 'passive', Hanuman, for the reasons California Jim discussed; on the other hand, it is 'stative' as opposed to 'active' in that it states a condition, not an activity.
