Action/linking verbs

In the following paragraph, what are the action/linking verbs? Any help would be appreciated!

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has had his share of injuries, including a broken ankle that kept him out of six games in 2002. Coming back from his injury is never easy. A football player can work out all the time and keep in shape, but until he takes that first big hit from an opponent, he can't be quite sure he's ready to play. He was ready. He came back to lead the team to a victory.
