ACTION-PACKED NEW LIFE

Dear Teachers,

1. Just go for it! Good luck in your action-packed new life.

- What does "action-packed new life" mean?

2. I'm so depressed and can't snap out of it like my friends want me to do. I'll never find anyone who will take her place.

- What does "snap out of it" mean here?

Thanks very much to Teachers,

Stevenukd.

"action-packed" - full of action, adventure. "snap out of it" - stop feeling this way. You can say this to someone who seems to be in a day dream to get their attention, or you can say it to someone who seems to be in a bad mood (in this case, sad) to want them to change the way they are responding to things.

On the 2nd one, I think I'd go for a more agressive definition (see the force here):
----------
snap out of sth
phrasal verb INFORMAL

to force yourself to stop feeling sad and upset:

He just can't snap out of the depression he's had since his wife died.
Now come on, snap out of it. Losing that
