Acrticle Problem

Is this usage correct:

A result of the recent election is the realization that in this increasingly urban area, voters now worry more about cime than health care. (thiss is given as a correct option in Kaplan 800)

Shouldnt the sentence contain the same articles throughout? Please explain.
