acronyms

Hello!

In a composition which is more official, how do you indicate that a certain phrase (for instance a name of an institution) will be after the firs mentioning refered to with an acronym? For example: the National Library (from now on refered to as NL)- Is there a certain phrase for the "from now on referd to as..." that is usually used or has to be used?

I hope my question is understandable enough Emotion: embarrassed

Hi, In a composition which is more official, how do you indicate that a certain phrase (for instance a name of an institution) will be after the firs mentioning refered to with an acronym? " that is usually used or has to be used? I would first use the full name, follow it with the abbreviation in brackets, and thereafter use the abbreviation.
