acquisition or take over or buyout or?

Hi, all there
Now I meet one question need your help, if I want to say "One firm was taken over by another firm." I not sure my sentence is right, just a example, so can I use take over here? or other words?

Yes, but not so usual. More usual is 'buy out'.
