Acknowlegment phrases understanding

Hi

There is a question on "acknowledgement" phrases in English. We are a couple, recently graduated.

I wrote : Mum, Dad, Sister, Husband name and my Son's name , thank you very much for your support and encouragement.

My husband Wrote: Last but not the least the author would like to thank his wife, XXX for her assistance during the preparation of this thesis.

My husband thinks that he has written a better acknowledgement , by adding a separate line for me. Where as I have added his name along with others.

Is he right? Any views?

Mini guava Any views? His version is more formal and more standard for acknowledgement phrasing, but you are utterly free to write as you like. There are no rules.
