Acknowledgment sentence

Hi teachers,

Is this sentence correct and meaningful? Please enhance where possible as I would like to include it in the acknowledgments section of my thesis.

"Special thanks go to my parents who have always been there for me, with extensive support and encouragement. Simply, I wouldn’t be where I’m today without them."

Thanks very much in advance!

In this case "I'm" should be "I am". You can't use the contraction because it lacks the required emphasis. I would also delete the comma after "me".
