"Despite the amount of support and help I received from others in writing this dissertation, it goes without saying that all remaining errors and omissions remain my own."

Hi everyone,
I read the above sentence and wondered whether it was gramatically correct. What struck me as odd was the "in writing". Can you really say that?
Thanks,
Mike

  • Yes, it's fine.
  • What seems poor style is repeating 'remain' in the sentence.
