Hi there!

Is it correct to say:

I would like to thank my partner for putting up with innumerable pilgrimages around many world libraries. Obviously 'pilgrimage' is metaphorical. Is there a better way of saying that I am grateful because he came with me to many university libraries and helped me with my research? Maybe the word 'pilgrimage' is offensive for a Catholic ear......

I wait your insightful comments

Thanks!

I'm not bothered by pilgrimages . I'd probably change the line a little, to this: I would like to thank my partner for putting up with my innumerable pilgrimages to libraries around the world .

Davkett, that sounds much better thanks! but I would like to imply that he has also taken part in those pilgrimages as he actually did some research for me.
