She acknowledged having been at fault in the past.

She acknowledged being at fault now or in the past.

She will remember dancing with me now or in the past

She will remember having danced with me in the past.

What does sentence below mean?

He acknowledges losing the election.-- He says that he knows he lost the election

I don't understand why 'He acknowledges that he lost...' If we say 'We like swimming' , we express our general preference. How to say 'I lose election every year' using acknowledge?

I think I'm getting it... Is 'He acknowledged losing...' the same as 'He admitted playing/having played with tigers' which means 'I played with tigers.' ?

But, I still don't know how to say 'I lose election every year' using acknowledge (I acknowledge...)?

Answering to my question, 'I lose the election every year.' after 'acknowledge' transformation looks 'I acknowledge that I lose the election every year.' but this isn't means 'I acknowledge losing...'

Am I right?

1. I lose the election every year.

2. I acknowledge that I lose the election every year.

3. I acknowledge losing the election every year.

Sentence 1 is a statement of fact.

In both sentences 2 and 3 you admit to the fact.

Sentence 2 and 3 mean the same thing.

You're right

but Mister Micawber said 'He acknowledges losing the election.-- He says that he knows he lost the election'

so, 3 and 2 can't mean the same.

without 'every year', sentences 2 & 3 don't mean the same?

That is right. Adding 'every year' changes the meaning of 'losing', which in itself has no tense.
