Hi,

Can you explain when do I have to use ACHE / HURT ?

My stomach hurts / aches .

My neck hurts / aches.

Pain is hard to describe in words.

Here are a couple of quick comments on how I see the general idea..

My stomach hurts. I might be able to show you the specific place that it hurts.

I'd say that "hurt" is more general. It includes injuries from external sources. "ache" seems not to include such things. Aches come from within; they seem to originate from inside the body. Anything that aches also hurts, but you can't say that anything that hurts also aches.
