Accredited College Degrees, Nearly a Necessity

At one point of your life, you will probably think about whether you should get a college degree or not. You will ponder about the advantages and the disadvantages. You will worry about how long it takes, how much money it will cost, and if it will be worth it. Even though the disadvantages may seem strong, the advantages of an accredited college degree are much more rewarding!

It might not seem like it, but your education is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. Not only are you expanding your knowledge, you increase your understanding of the world around you. You will create more job opportunities for yourself and earn more money. The higher your degree, the more money you can ask for. Obviously you must invest quite a bit of time and money, but the pay off is much better once you've obtained your degree and you would be making more money than if you didn't have that accredited degree. Here are some common things many worry about:
  1. For many people, the biggest issue will be money. But there are many ways to get financial aid in forms of student loans, school grants, etc.
  2. Maybe they will be the first one in their family to get a degree, so there may not be much family support. But there will always be pride, no doubt.
  3. Many wonder what they should do with their lives. College is there to help you find your path, and only later on you decide on a major.
  4. College being too hard is also something students are scared of. Though all colleges offer tutoring and support so if the help is taken, no one is left behind.
There are also people who are working and interested in a degree. They can work towards their accredited degree by taking night classes, online classes or weekend classes. You might even get support from your company offering some sort of incentives for employees to continue their education and get a college degree. Sometimes they can even help with the tuition funds or even reimburse them if you obtain accredited degree that will help your current job functions.
Having no college degree can really limit you in many cases. More and more companies seek employees with accredited degrees rather than just experience. Being competetive is extremely vital nowadays.

To add some numbers, unemployment rates of those with at least a bachelor's degree are much lower than with only a high school diploma, by around 10% lower in fact. Earnings of someone with a bachelor's degree will in many cases be almost double that of a high school graduate. So these numbers alone should make you want to go for that accredited college degree!
