I was tackling a workbook of a certain business English exam, then I encountered the following sentences.
Every year one employee from each department will be awarded special annual bonus leave for outstanding performance. The chosen employees will have an additonal five days of annual vacation credited on September 15th. The bonus leave will be accounted for separately and will remain available until used.
I know that the phrase "account for" has a couple of meanings. But none of the meanings I know or I can find in my dictionary seem to apply here.
Could you explain what this "be accounted for" means ?
Thanks in advance.
