According To, Per

"The money transfer was according to the manager's request."
"The money transfer was done according to the manager's request."

"The money transfer was per the manager's request."
"The money transfer was done per the manager's request."

Is "done" necessary?

Top answer

The verb "transfer" already serves the meaning. To me, "done" is redundant. I would just say: The money was transferred as per the request of the manager.

Hi, Your post had not yet appeared when I wrote mine.

I wouldn't call it "redundant." I'd say it's "understood."

So, "per the manager's request" and "according to the manager's request" could be used as adjectives?

I messed up the original post. Let's try this:

"The money transfer was as per the manager's request."
"The money transfer was according to the manager's request."

Is "as per" = "according to"?

No, not " the money transfer was.....", instead, write: " the money wa

So,

"The money transfer was as per the manager's request." =
"The money transfer was according to the manager's request."

and "as per" = "according to", and they are always interchangeable.
