According to our prediction

Hello.

Does "according to our prediction" mean "as we predicted/as we had predicted"?

For example, I want to say "according to our prediction, older firms were less likely to have internal control weaknesses."

Is that right? I mean, we had already predicted before testing our hypothesis, then our prediction came true.
