According to or in accordance with

Hi there,

I wonder you can help me for this:

Is it possible to say:

1. I will try my best to do this according to legal regulations.

2. I will try my best to do this in accordance with legal regulations.

Can someone tell me which one is right and explain the difference? Thank you so much in advance!

They are both OK. it sounds more legal. 'Legal regulations' is an odd phrase-- regulations are always in some sense legal.

  • They are both OK.
  • it sounds more legal.
  • 'Legal regulations' is an odd phrase-- regulations are always in some sense legal.
  • I suggestion just 'regulations' or 'the law'.
