I don't think so. 'Hand off' usually means 'pass to subsequent responsible person. I would say ' Go with candidate to the area in which s/he is given into the charge of the next person responsible '.

I don't think so. 'Hand off' usually means 'pass to subsequent responsible person. I would say 'Go with candidate to the area in which s/he is given into the charge of the next person responsible'.
