"We’ve made every effort to accommodate your point of view."
I cannot understand the meaning of "accommodate one's point of view" used as in the above. Is it a common phrase? Is it figurative? Would you form the sentence using a different phrase instead of "accommodate point of view" but retaining its meaning.

Thank you.
It's like saying "we've tried considering your view", we've tried to evaluate your view as well, we've tried to take into account your view as well. It conveys that people in question have not outrightly rejected your view, they've tried to look at yours as well. Thanks Karan
