Accidentally

Hello,

Is my sentence proper?

The first way to write a chant is accidentally when a poet has to write off-the-cuff/ impromptu.

Thank you in advance.

Impromptu and off-the-cuff are adjectives, and the sentence requires an adverb. Besides, they usually refer to speaking rather than writing.

It has the idea of coming from a free mind and spirit, not premeditated.

Hi,

Chant is the rhythmic speaking or signing singing of words or sounds, . . .

OK.
I'm not sure what sentence you are currently asking about. But note that doing something 'accidentally' is not the same as doing something 'off the cuff' or in an 'impromptu' manner.

An accident is usually negative - something that you are usually sorry for.

I wrote a poem in free verse, and my friend by accident recited it as a chant. He later told me that he was sorry.

That post in the middle of the road is an accident waiting to happen.
