accessible or available?

Dear teachers,

I am doing an exercise that asks me to choose the correct completion. In the following sentence, I choose "accessible" but the correct answer is "available".I really don't understand why.Could you help clarify this for me?:

Read the article below and decide which answer best fits each space
If you are looking at a modern laptop computer, it's hard to believe that computers were once huge devices (ready/accessible/possible/available) only to government or big businesses......

Thank you in advance

Well, I think that accessible is possible too, but the idea here is that 'accessible' means 'able to reach or use', while 'available' means 'able to possess'.
