Access = final bit of the road/path whose purpose is to get you to a spot "The access road (to IKEA/the field) is on the left" Way = a general route(s) that may be for many or a particular purpose, often equally or better suited than the alternatives "Take the way to the city" "On the way to the shops, I met a friend" Passage = often a low-quality/non-ideal route between two points (often part of a larger journey), but it serves its purpose of getting you through "The passage was very rough" There's a lot more to these words than just the above and depends a little on context... d
