Hi
I would like to know if native speakers use available with access.
Example
You can learn a lot about this technology if access is available to microcomputer.
I see the expression in an exercise book. I feel it is redundant. I think it is just enough to say "....there is access to ..."
Please give your views.
This is how I would say it: You can learn a lot about this technology if you have (one has) access to a microcomputer. When using the word 'available' with the word 'access' - I might say this: You can learn a lot about this technology if access to a microcomputer is available. or You can learn a lot about this technology if access is available to a microcomputer.
