In my view, it would more properly be called a thank-you speech.  Strictly speaking, an acceptance speech would be given if you know beforehand that you are going to get an award - so then the speech would be carefully written beforehand and rehearsed.  Here the nominees don't know beforehand who's going to get the award, and so they speak off-the-cuff when they get it.
