I see questions that start with the word 'who' and wonder if the following is good/correct.
Why not come home early? Why not? Why don't you come home early? Why all the noise/fuss? Why not? Why do/did you create all the noise/fuss?
I think there was a thread or some threads that dealt with this topic but I can't find it now. Do you think having the words 'the reason' and 'why' is not correct? If not, how would you change it?
