Accents -- British and Americans

Hi

I have read in many magazines and heard in some interviews that  the host (in general) has a faint British accent and the guest (in general) has a faint American accent. Sometimes even the word faint is dropped. I find their accents more on the Indian side than on British or American.

Could I request your take please?

Thanks,

Tom

Her accent sounds like it has been influenced by American English, but I'm not sure what else is affecting it. I don't really hear much Indian accent. Her words are crisper and cleaner than American, like British is, but it isn't completely that, either.

Thanks, Englishmaven.

What about the host? Does she sound like a British? Or does she sound faintly British, as many say?

They mostly have non-regional, British pronunciation with a tiny bit of Indian pronunciation.
