Accent understanding

Hi,

Chris finds that specific British accent understanding difficult because it's quite quick.

Do you think this sentence works?

I have two problems:

1. We don't have "quick accent". The verb "speak" is essential and needs the adverb "quickly." An accent cannot be quick.
2. I am not happy with the wording given. To me, it means that the accent is doing the understanding, which is not correct.

What do you think?
Thanks.

Possibly

Chris finds it difficult to understand that British accent because it is spoken so quickly.

You already have 'that'. I don't think the addition of 'specific' adds much of anything.
